Welcome to Migration Angels – The Australian Visa Specialists
We specialise in Australian visas, visa applications and immigration services. We offer travel and immigration advice to those who would like to spend time in Australia for work or pleasure or to those who would like to migrate to Australia permanently.
Migrating to Australia can be quite a complex and drawn out procedure, depending on the visa sought and the individual’s situation. Key aspects of the visa application are often over looked, under estimated or simply misunderstood. Our role as Australian visa specialists is to provide a reasonable and specialised service, to you, the client.
Industry feedback shows that approximately 50% of “do it yourself” visa applications fail. 30% of these are visa applications lodged online, the other 20% are applications which haven’t been overseen by a registered agent – is it really worth the risk?
Skilled Visas
As Australia’s economy grows stronger, skilled migrants will be needed to fulfill the ever increasing skilled labour shortages caused by the mining boom – effecting mainly regional Australia.

Why We Recommend Using A MARA Registered Migration Agent
Many people ask themselves why it’s important to use a registered migration agent, and what the differences are between registered and non-registered agents. In Australia, it’s compulsory for migration agents to be registered with the office of the MARA (Migration Agents Registration Authority). Registered migration agents require a comprehensive understanding of Australian migration law and are there to ensure that their clients receive a high quality service as well as accurate advice.
In addition, registered Migration Agents (RMAs) are bound to abide by the professional and ethical directives contained in the Code of Conduct, a legally enforced code administered by the Office of the MARA.
A full copy of the Code of Conduct can be downloaded or provided on request.
Key Differences Between Registered & Unregistered Agents:
In Australia it’s illegal to provide advice about immigration to Australia without being registered with the Office of the MARA. Those who provide immigration advice and assistance who are unregistered face heavy fines and/or penalties.
All registered migration agents must:
- satisfy qualification criterion for registration
- be good of character
- abide by the migration advice industry Code of Conduct applicable to registered migration agents
- provide you with a copy of the Information on the Regulation of the Migration Advice Profession (PDF) booklet before commencing work on your case
Unregistered agents:
- are not bound to any ethical directives contained in the Code of Conduct
- could provide you with false hopes i.e. guaranteeing a successful application
- may take advantage of your situation and could provide false information
- could disappear with your money and personal information such as your identity
Visa Scams: How to Avoid Becoming a Victim
The best advice we can give you before pursuing a visa to Australia is to be mindful of visa scams, large companies will happily take your money, however a successful application might not even be possible.
Some of these companies employ sales reps to lure you in, most don’t have any migration law background and are simply there to seal the deal. Once you sign on the dotted line, you’re locked in and risk loosing your money. Not convinced? Check out this blog on the Daily Mirror web site.
Always ensure that you:
- have researched your chosen migration agent
- have read reviews or testimonials of the company or agent
- compare pricing relative to the visa application
